Income Limits for 2026
To qualify for SNAP, your household’s monthly income must be below a certain limit. For 2026, those limits include:
- Single person: Maximum of $2,152 per month.
- Family of four: Maximum of $4,421 per month.
Work Requirements
There are specific rules for adults aged 18 to 64 who do not have children living at home. To keep receiving benefits:
- You must work or participate in a job training program for at least 20 hours per week.
- If you do not meet these work requirements, you can generally only receive food assistance for three months within a three-year period.
By following these guidelines and knowing your deposit date, you can better plan your grocery shopping and household budget for the month.
